New Member Joined: 19 Dec 2009 Posts: 1	Posted: Wed Feb 17, 2010 8:41 pm    Post subject: Longest time between SPs?   What is the longest gap anyone has had between 1st and second SPs?? I have had SPs on both sides, only one on the left 11 years ago, and two on the right with 7 years between them, latest one last November. Both first instances were solved with just a tap in hospital overnight, and the second on the right was only about 10% and cured itself. Last month i had a VATS pleurectomy & bullectomy on the right to sort that side, and assuming all heals ok will go for the left side too in the future. Has anyone had similar time frames?

Within a year of having the VATS on my left my right collapsed and had VATS on that one. I haven't had any problems since and it was 2 years since my last surgery on Feb 16th!
